In the heart of Italian wine country, nestled amongst the rolling hills of Tuscany, lies the Antinori - Santa Cristina winery. This establishment's illustrious chronicles can be traced back to 1946, when Marquis Niccolò Antinori wanted to produce a Chianti that could age and thereby, improving over time. Today, the winery has evolved and expanded; yet, still holds the same passion and dedication for quality winemaking spanning back over six centuries.
Antinori - Santa Cristina winery's signature selection is the "Santa Cristina" label, recognised for its robust flavours and velvety textures. This wine gives a nod to tradition, made primarily from Sangiovese grapes, blended with a warm harmonic touch of Merlot. But Santa Cristina does not restrict it's palate to this singular selection. Each wine that this pristine winery produces strives for a unique balance between traditional practices and modern innovation, thereby creating wide-ranging portfolio of high-quality wines set apart by their individuality and elegance. Tasting Note
Chianti Superiore Santa Cristina is ruby red with purplish highlights. On the nose it is rich with fruity notes of morello cherries, aromatic herbs and balsamic sensations. Its palate is soft, mouth filling with velvety tannins and a long savory finish.
