Coonawarra in South Australia is one of the world’s finest wine regions with a reputation for producing some of Australia’s best red wines. Two things make Coonawarra special: firstly, its unique fertile red soil known as Terra Rossa, which provides perfect conditions for growing world-class grapes. Secondly, its moderate climate – although inland, the area is very flat and benefits from sea breezes from the Antarctic which cool the vines during late summer. This allows for a longer and slower ripening season, giving the fruit a chance to develop more complex flavours and retain its natural acidity. Sea Change Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon’s dark crimson colour gives a hint of what’s to come: dark berry and chocolate aromas with a ripe plum core, this is an intense, full-bodied wine with a lingering fruity finish.
